"Monna Giò". Non è stato un nome scelto a caso per distinguere il mio allevamento. Gio’ è la mia prima bassottina, la capostipite, un simpaticissimo essere di dimensioni assai ridotte, ma di una presenza così importante e prepotente, da non farmi rimpiangere i precedenti compagni a quattro zampe di taglie ben più grandi.
E, proprio ai miei bassotti, a tutti quanti, più e meno belli, tutti comunque amatissimi dai loro compagni umani, dedico queste pagine.
Il visitatore troverà unicamente bassotti a pelo corto di taglia kaninchen, solo occasionalmente nana, frutto di attenta selezione morfologica, caratteriale, di studio sugli incroci, provenienti da storiche e prestigiose linee di sangue prevalentemente italiane.
La mia attenzione è volta principalmente ad ottenere soggetti equilibrati, di buon carattere, adatti alla vita familiare: “bravi, sani e belli”.
I bassotti di “Monnagiò” vivono tra casa e giardino, non conoscono gabbie o recinti; i cuccioli imparano quanto prima le regole del branco, i primi rudimenti dell’educazione domestica ed il corretto rapporto con l’uomo.
Tanto è il tempo che dedico alla cucciolata, mio divertimento e passione, come tanta è l’attenzione per la scelta della famiglia che accoglierà il cucciolo.
Tutti i soggetti sono “Riproduttori Selezionati" E.N.C.I.; diversi hanno avuto prestigiosi riconoscimenti in esposizioni di bellezza sia nazionali che estere.
Sono abilitata a giudicare il CAE 1, il Gruppo IV, il Gruppo V, il Gruppo X e delle razze Italiane.

Monna Giò is not a name choosen by chance. Giò is the very first of my dachshunds, the founder of my breeding, a tiny nice creature, but so important and rewarding that I have never looked back with regret on my previous – and much bigger! - four legged companions.
This web site is dedicated to my dachshunds, to each and everyone of them, both the most and the less beautiful, but nevertheless so beloved, all of them, by their new owners.
Visitors of this website will find only smooth kaninchens, occasionally miniatures, result of a careful morfological and character selection, and of well studied crossings with historical and precious blood lines, most of them italian.
My goal is to obtain good tempered, balanced dogs, adapted to a family life. In a few words: good, healthy and beautiful dachshunds.
Monna Giò's dachshunds live in the house and in the garden. They don’t know cages or fencings. Puppies learn at soon the rules of the pack, the first rudiments of house training and the right relationship with humans.
I devote as much time to breed my puppies - who are my passion and fun – as to choose their new families.
All of my dogs are “Select Producer” E.N.C.I., and many of them have won important prizes at national and international shows.
I am a FCI Judge: CAE 1, IV Group, V Group, X Group and Italian Breeds.
